Delray beach is a beautiful part of Florida known for its incredible beaches and good weather all year round. Surprisingly, it also has a fascinating history that dates back centuries and a thriving art scene that’s worth investigating.
Explore this stunning museum that celebrates the Japanese culture of gardens and nature.
This is the perfect activity for a quiet afternoon where you get to walk through and admire the various examples of Japanese gardens and landscaping through the different eras. The property also features a beautiful walk around a pond which is surrounded by nature.
The two museums on the property explain the history of Japanese farmers in the Delray area with amazing sculptures and traditional temples on display. The museum also has a restaurant that’s worth visiting for a mid-tour snack.
The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens is a must-see for your stop in Delray Beach.
There are many different beaches that you can visit in Delray, but one of my favorites has to be Delray Municipal Beach.
The beach has gorgeous white sand and the waters are crystal clear blue. It is also very easy to access and rarely gets too busy.
The Wakodahatchee Wetlands is a park that’s home to wildlife.
It is over 178 bird species as well as alligators, turtles, frogs, rabbits and many more. The park features a three-quarter mile boardwalk across open water where you get to watch all the different animals.
This is a perfect day out with family or just by yourself. But remember to bring a camera!
February is winter in Delray Beach however Florida has very good weather all year round. You expect highs of 75°F (24°C) and lows of 57°F (14°C). Whilst it is not as hot as it is during the summer months, you can still expect some nice temperatures.
It is also important you stay protected from the sun even though it is winter.
