ASB Classic Tournament Guide 2023
The ASB Classic (also known as The Auckland Open) is one of the first tournaments of the year and is part of the lead-up to the Australian Open. It is also one of the only professional tennis tournaments held in New Zealand.
The venue is held next to the beautiful Auckland harbour making it a lovely tournament for spectators to visit. And don’t worry, you can expect some high-quality tennis as well with some of the top tennis players in the world playing at the ASB Classic every year.

Where is the ASB Classic Played?
The ASB Classic is an outdoor hard court tournament played at the ASB Tennis Arena which is in a beautiful location next to the harbour in Auckland, New Zealand.
The venue can hold up to 3,500 spectators.
When is the ASB Classic Played?
Tennis at the ASB Classic is expected to return in 2023 after it was cancelled due to the pandemic in 2022 and 2021.
The men’s week runs from January 9th 2023 to January 14th 2023 whilst the women’s week runs the week prior.

Who’s Playing in the ASB Classic in 2023?
The ASB Classic recently announced some of the top players expected to play at the tournament.
World no.4 Casper Ruud and Cameron Norrie are both expected to play at The Auckland Open which will make for a great ATP event. Also, big server John Isner is expected to return to the ASB Classic for his 10th appearance as he looks to win another title in Auckland.
From the WTA side US Open champion Emma Raducanu, as well as 2016 ASB Classic champion Sloane Stephens, are both expected to play.

How Do I Get ASB Classic Tickets?
Tickets for the ASB Classic 2023 can be bought from the Ticketek website.
Prices start from as low as $18 for ground pass tickets which will give you access to Grandstand Court and Court 2.
However, prices can range all the way up to $80 for seats in a premium location which will give you the best view of the action.
But be quick because tickets are selling out fast!
