Where Should I Stay for the Qatar Open?

Doha is a very modern city with lots of luxury hotels to stay in. This is due to the country wanting to increase tourism. The Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex is very close to the city centre so you will have easy access to the venue.

What to do in Doha

Doha is the capital city of Qatar and is where the majority of the population lives. It has become famous recently for holding the Fifa World Cup 2022. Doha is a very impressive city with some incredible architecture and you may be surprised to hear that there are a lot of things you can do in this Qatari city.

Desert Safari, Camel Ride & Sand Boarding

Experience all of the top attractions of Doha in one trip with this desert safari, camel ride and sand boarding package.

You will board a chauffeured private 4WD and head into the desert where you will experience a dune bash, camel ride and sandboarding.

You will also get some great photo opportunities as you are brought to a mirage-like lagoon that is separating Qatar from Saudi Arabia. The sand dunes stretching across the horizon is also something to behold, especially if you go at sunset.

Pickup and drop-off are included as well as the sandboards. This is a great experience for you and your family and something that will make your friends back home jealous.

Private City Tour of Doha

Visit all of Doha’s major tourist attractions with this 4-hour city tour of Doha.

Explore sites such as the National Museum of Qatar, Katara Cultural Village and many more. A tour guide will give you private transportation to all these landmarks as well as educate you on the history of Doha and the culture of this country.

This is a great way to learn about this city.

Villaggio

Villagio is a shopping mall made to replicate Venice.

Yes, that’s right. It’s a shopping mall that you access from a man-made river.

This is a very unique experience, but is one I’d recommend because who else can say they’ve visited it? There are also many brands to shop from and places to eat out.

How is the Weather in Doha?

February is during the winter in Doha however that doesn’t mean you should expect cool temperatures. Most of Qatar is a desert so in the summer you can expect it to get mid 40’s°C.

In February you can expect highs of around 24°C and lows of around 15°C. Make sure you stay protected from the sun with sunglasses, suncream and hats.

How Do I Watch the Qatar Open?

You can watch the Qatar Open 2023 on TennisTV.
