Rotterdam is a city in the Dutch province of Holland famous for its modern and unique architecture. It has lots of sightseeing opportunities as well as a great nightlife with streets filled with bars and nightclubs. It is also well known for its port, which is the largest in Europe.

The Markthal

Visit The Markthal in the heart of Rotterdam which is a huge building filled with shops and restaurants as well as pop up market stalls.

The building has incredible artwork and very unique architecture that you won’t see anywhere else. The markthal is filled with loads of food stalls with many different foods from all around the world.

If you get the chance I’d recommend you try poffertjes which is one of the most famous dishes in Netherlands. They are like small pancakes and are traditionally served with melted butter and dusted with icing sugar.

Rotterdam Land and Sea Splash Tour

Explore Rotterdam in a fun and different way with this Land and Sea Splash Tour.

You will be taken on a tour around Rotterdam, visiting the famous attractions of the city whilst riding onboard a land-and-water vehicle. The vehicle will pass from both the city streets to the Maas River making for a very unique experience.

Whilst onboard, tour guides will be talking about the history of this Dutch city so you can learn all about the culture of Rotterdam.

Rotterdam Zoo

A stunning zoo filled with loads of exotic animals and an incredible aquarium with a glass walkthrough section that’ll leave you in awe.

The Rotterdam zoo is a great day out with friends and family that won’t disappoint.

How is the Weather in Rotterdam?

February is a cold month for Rotterdam with highs of around 7°C and lows of 1°C. You can also expect quite a bit of rainfall during this time of the year in Holland.

However the Rotterdam Open is an indoor tournament so the weather won’t effect any matches.
