Jack Draper’s Gear | Racket, Shoes, Sponsors & More
Jack Draper is a British tennis star who has shot up the ATP rankings recently and has achieved some impressive results such as reaching the Canadian Open quarter-finals after beating Stefanos Tsitsipas and has reached the semi-finals of an ATP 250 on two occasions.
But what gear does he use?
Luckily for you, I have made this guide where we dive into all the gear he uses such as rackets, shoes, apparel and much more.

Racket
When a brand sponsors a tennis player, they are getting paid to endorse a specific racket. However, a lot of the time, the player won’t use the racket they are endorsing and instead use a custom racket painted to look like the one they are endorsing. This is the case with Jack Draper and we will review both the racket he is endorsing and the racket he actually uses.
Endorsed Racket
Jack Draper currently endorses the Dunlop FX 500. Dunlop recently released the new model of the Dunlop FX 500 which has a slightly different paint job to the previous model.
Back in the day, Dunlop used to be the top tennis racket brand with the likes of Rod Laver, John McEnroe and Steffi Graff all using Dunlop rackets.
Whilst they are not the most popular tennis brand nowadays, they are working their way back to the top with new technology and designs. Jamie Murray, Liam Broady and Miormir Kecmanovic are all currently sponsored to use Dunlop rackets.
Dunlop FX 500 | Specs |
Head Size | 100 in² / 645.16 cm² |
Length | 27 in / 68.58 cm |
Strung Weight | 11.3oz / 320g |
Balance | 4 pts HL |
Swingweight | 321 |
Stiffness | 69 |
Beam Width | 23mm / 26mm / 23mm |
String Pattern | 16 Mains / 19 Crosses |
The Dunlop FX 500 offers plenty of power combined with a good amount of topspin making those groundstrokes extra difficult for your opponent. The stiffness of the racket also gives it a nice solid feel so you can hit the ball with ease.
However, I will say that this racket does lack some control due to its aggressive and powerful nature which is why I’d only recommend it for intermediate to advanced players. I’d also recommend pairing this racket with a polyester string to give yourself more control.
Overall, I think the FX 500 does not get enough credit and is definitely worth giving a go if you get the chance.
Actual Racket
Jack Draper actually uses the Dunlop Srixon Revo CV 3.0 which was released in 2018. It is a very common racket amongst players sponsored by Dunlop.
It is worth noting that Draper likely has many other modifications made to this racket to suit his game however we are unaware of what these modifications may be.
Dunlop Srixon Revo CV 3.0 | Specs |
Head Size | 100 in / 645 cm |
Length | 27 in / 68.58 cm |
Strung Weight | 11.2oz / 318g |
Balance | 4pts HL |
Beam Width | 23 mm / 26mm / 23mm |
String Pattern | 16 Mains / 19 Crosses |
Much like the Dunlop FX 500, the Srixon Revo CV 3.0 has a great blend of power and topspin. However, this racket provides a lot more control for the athlete making it much easier to use.
This is the perfect racket for an aggressive baseliner due to the amount of power and control you can achieve, which is why it suits Jack Draper’s game so well.
The base model of this racket comes in at 318g, but we believe that Jack Draper’s racket will be around the 340g mark which is typical of professional tennis players.
Grip
Jack Draper uses Tourna Grip as an overgrip on his racket which is a light blue grip made famous by the likes of Pete Sampras, Andy Roddick and many more.
Tourna Grip is made for players who sweat a lot and have had issues with their racket slipping out of their hand. It is made to absorb sweat better than any grip on the market and has a non-slip effect so you don’t have to worry about losing your racket.
However, this grip is made for durability and sweat absorption which is why it is not a very soft grip. If you’re looking for a grip that’s a bit softer I’d recommend the Wilson Pro Overgrips.
Bag
Jack Draper uses the Dunlop FX Performance 12 Pack Bag as his racket bag of choice.
It can hold up to 12 tennis rackets and even has a section with climate control technology to keep your rackets protected during extreme weather conditions.
It also comes with a section where you can hold your shoes as well as many different pockets to hold your various accessories.
Apparel
Jack Draper is sponsored by Nike for all of his tennis clothes.
Nike is one of the most popular tennis clothing brands with the likes of Rafael Nadal, Nick Kyrgios and many more sponsored by them. They produce some of the highest quality gear and most unique designs.
Nike will release new designs of their gear throughout the year normally around the time of Grand Slam events.
Shoes
Jack Draper is currently using the Nike Zoom Vapor 11s which is a new model in the Nike Vapor line.
Having a shoe that is both comfortable and supportive is very important for tennis players as they are spending multiple hours on the court so they need something they can trust. The Vapor 11s provide a good amount of cushioning underfoot and Nike have even added a molded sidewall to enhance lateral support and stability.
Oh yeah, and I love this color design.
